It’s always pretty cool to see a home you built show up somewhere you didn’t expect.
One of our McCall builds was recently featured by Country Home, and it was great to see this project shared with their audience. We put a lot of time and thought into this one, from the way the home sits on the property to the details that make it work for mountain living.
For us, building a home in McCall Idaho is about more than putting a house on a beautiful piece of property. It’s about paying attention to the setting and building something that makes sense for the people who will live there.

Building for the Setting
One of the things we enjoy most about building in McCall is that every property is different.
The views, the terrain, the trees, the weather and the way a family plans to use the home all play a part in how we approach a build. A mountain home shouldn’t just look good in a photo. It should make sense for the property and for the people who live there.
For this project, the setting was a big part of the story.

The Details Matter
A lot of what makes a custom home feel right isn’t necessarily the first thing you notice.
It’s how the rooms connect.
How the windows frame a view.
How the materials work together.
How the home feels when you walk through it.
Those are the things we spend a lot of time thinking about during a build.

That’s one of the advantages of building a custom home. The design and construction can work hand in hand from the beginning, instead of trying to make an existing plan fit a particular property.
Made for Mountain Living
Living in McCall means a home needs to do more than look good.
People spend their time outside. They have gear. They entertain. They bring the dogs in after a muddy day. They want to sit by the fire and take in the view.
Those everyday things matter when we’re building.

For us, that’s what mountain living is about. Building a home that feels right for where it is and how you actually live there.
Seeing the Home Through a Different Lens
We’re proud of the homes we build, so it’s always nice when someone else notices them too.
Country Home shared this project on their Instagram, and we’re grateful to have the work recognized.

Building in McCall
We’ve been building in McCall for more than 20 years, and we’re still lucky to call this place home.
Every project is different. Every property has its own challenges. And every homeowner brings something different to the table.
That’s what keeps it interesting.
If you’ve purchased a lot in McCall and are starting to think about building, we’d be happy to talk through the process and see what you’re envisioning.
